Awards Ceremony Gala for the ‘Commerce Ateneo Startup Europe Awards and Fundadoras Awards’

The gala will take place on Monday, 27 of November, starting at 5:00 p.m. in the Sorolla Hall of the Ateneo de Valencia.

Valencia, 24 of November. – The ‘Ateneo Innovation and Business Club,’ in collaboration with the ‘Finnova Foundation’ and with the support of the European Union, will announce the winner of the 8th edition of the ‘Commerce Startup Europe Awards’ next Monday, 27 of November. The award grants the winner the opportunity to develop and boost their company in the heart of Europe, providing access to funding opportunities, networking, mentorship, and other benefits. The event will take place on Monday, 27 of November, starting at 5:00 p.m. in the Sorolla Hall of the Ateneo de Valencia.
The ‘Commerce Startup Europe Awards by Ateneo & Finnova’ is the first Spanish acceleration award in Brussels developed within the European Union. Its objective is to provide tools to young Spaniards with a technologically based project. In previous editions, the award was focused on fields such as ICT, tourism, renewable energy, water, health, or the environment, aiming to teach participants how to leverage the resources provided by the EU. In the current edition, the spotlight is on commerce.

Fundadoras Award 2023

The Fundadoras Awards, in this third edition, support and promote female entrepreneurship in the idea, startup, and business phases across different categories: Tourism and Waste Management, Textile Waste Management, Sustainable Tourism and Mobility, Social Innovation, Climate Change, and E-commerce.
A total of 21 female entrepreneurs have submitted their projects for the 2023 Fundadoras Awards. A jury, composed of experts from various sectors of the business world, has reviewed each of them and will deliver their final verdict in a gala event supported institutionally by Valencia Activa.
The Finnova Foundation, an expert in managing European funds for innovation, and the Fundadoras Association will offer 5 training courses in European funds valued at 3000€ to female entrepreneurs in the idea, startup, and business phases who emerge as winners in various categories of the awards.
On the other hand, the Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia will grant a special prize, the Startup Europe Awards Ateneo Mercantil, of 4000€ to a female entrepreneur to support her work. Finally, IEBS SCHOOL, one of the internationally recognized business schools with specific programs for entrepreneurs, will award a fully funded spot in the Master’s in Business Management for Entrepreneurs, valued at 6750€.

Startup Europe Awards The StartUp Europe Awards (SEUA) is an initiative driven by the European Commission and implemented by the Finnova Foundation in collaboration with StartUp Europe. It is an open innovation tool that enables businesses to identify talented startups capable of addressing current challenges in various areas. Its mission is to help startups and scaleups become more efficient, intelligent, and successful. These awards serve as a valuable tool to promote knowledge exchange, add value to the business ecosystem, and assist startups in growing and establishing themselves in the market.
