The Finnova Foundation and the Federation of Fruit Producers of Chile (Fedefruta), within the framework of the AL-INVEST Verde programme funded by the European Union, announce the launch of the Startup Europe Awards Chile – AL-INVEST Verde Sustainable Fruit.
This initiative aims to recognise and support entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs in Chile’s fruit sector that develop innovative solutions to address the major challenges of sustainability, circular economy, and efficient resource use.
Selected projects will receive personalised mentoring, training on European funding, and international visibility, boosting their growth, projection, and capacity for internationalisation.
Who can participate?
Entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs in Chile’s fruit sector that:
- Have an impact on sustainability or circular economy.
- Are in the idea stage or already under development.
Challenges of the call
Proposals should address one or more of the following challenges:
- Sustainable and smart production and logistics
- Sustainable alternatives to pesticides and synthetic chemicals
- Soil regeneration and health
- Circular economy and waste recovery (“Zero Waste”)
- Water efficiency and management
- Climate change adaptation and mitigation
Prizes
Winning projects will receive:
- Personalised mentoring from experts in internationalisation and European funding.
- Online course on European funding (valued at €400).
- International visibility and projection through Finnova’s network and strategic partners.
